Description
CHR® 2975-8R consists of a glass fiber fabric with silicone rubber coated with a silicone adhesive resistant to very high service temperatures.
The 2975 belt is designed to withstand the very severe abrasion caused by sandblasting and the extreme temperatures/pressures encountered during plasma spraying. The adhesive is heat-resistant silicone and this allows the product to be used at continuous temperatures up to 260°C. It also prevents the tape from slipping after application. The tapes have high strength and flexibility, making them easy to wrap around complex shapes and minimizing wrinkling when bending cables.

Application areas
2975 is used in plasma spraying – a method of coating surfaces with thin metal or extremely heat-resistant ceramic coatings.
The coating is sprayed on under high pressure and at extreme temperatures. The tape is applied around the parts that are plasma sprayed
should. CHR 2975 protects these surfaces during sandblasting, which is used to prepare the surfaces, and before subsequent plasma spraying. Aviation is the most important market
for plasma spray tapes, especially jet engine manufacturers, repair centers, major airline maintenance centers, Naval Air Force air yards and repair facilities.
