CHR® 2915 and 2916 are made of a heat-resistant glass fiber fabric coated with a silicone adhesive resistant to very high service temperatures.
Functions/benefits
CHR® 2915 and 2916 are tapes with exceptionally high abrasion resistance and maximum solvent resistance. You have a
excellent heat resistance and are thermally stable. They can be used in applications with a continuous temperature up to 260°C. Due to their abrasion resistance are
the tapes extremely resistant. CHR® 2915-7 meets the U.S. government specification MIL-I-19166C.
Application areas
CHR® 2915 and 2916 are very versatile belts. The areas of application range from general industrial
electrical maintenance work to hot splicing and rewinding. Some examples of specific applications are the rewinding of electric motors, protective rewinding
for wires and cables and as a heat-resistant masking tape for stainless steel welding.
CHR® 2915 and 2916 are also well suited as masking tapes in plasma and flame spraying.
