Norseal® 4031 is a medium density closed cell PVC foam.
Norseal 4031 is specifically designed to work with mechanical fasteners.
The unique foam resists twisting from drilling, riveting or other fastening operations, making it ideal for metal-to-metal joints. To ensure adequate sealing, the foam must be compressed by at least 30% in the final joint. After application, the foam can compensate for the normal movements of the joint caused by thermal volume expansion or environmental influences.

Norseal is a one-sided adhesive sealing foam with a water-soluble acrylic adhesive and must therefore be applied to clean, dry surfaces.
The adhesive keeps the seal in place.

Norseal 4031 foam is B1 certified (DIN 4102-01, 05/98).
