Description
The 3M™ Polyester Tape 8992 is universally applicable. It is ideal as a masking tape in applications where high temperatures act. The adhesive tape coated with a silicone adhesive produces sharp colored edges and is therefore very suitable for masking workpieces during powder coating, among other things. It is cleanly removable from most surfaces in one go without unraveling or tearing.
Properties
The 8992 adhesive tape has a polyester film that is resistant to solvents, heat, abrasion and shrinkage. The green coloring provides good visibility of the tape during application and removal, and the thin backing ensures a clean color edge. in addition, the extremely resistant silicone adhesive enables use at high temperatures. At the same time, the silicone adhesive can be removed from many surfaces without leaving any residue.
