Description
3M™ Polyester Tape 8902 is a thicker, more durable tape that is ideal for masking at high temperatures and adheres well to silicone-coated surfaces. Coated with a silicone adhesive, the tape is ideal for masking for powder coating and electrostatic painting processes to create sharp color lines.
Properties
The adhesive tape 8902 is characterized by good chemical resistance and it works effectively in chemical processes and under demanding operating conditions, such as anodizing. The pressure-sensitive silicone adhesive performs well over a wide temperature range of 50°C to 204°C, and the translucent blue backing also resists tearing. It can also be removed cleanly and in one piece from most surfaces and prevents slipping and tearing.
