Description
The 3M™ Electroplating Tape 470 is designed to withstand intense and severe conditions associated with electroplating and anodizing processes. The vinyl substrate resists most solvents but can be attacked by ketones, chlorinated hydrocarbons and esters. The belt should therefore not come into contact with degreasers, varnish removers, varnish thinners, etc.
Properties
Electroplating tape is built on a flexible PVC backing that conforms to 3-dimensional shaped or curved surfaces. It is resistant to most common solvents and has excellent resistance to the chemicals used in electroplating and anodizing. Adhesive Tape 470 withstands temperatures up to 76°C and removes cleanly from most surfaces after application.
