Description
The 3M™ VHB™ high performance tapes are double sided tapes made of closed cell acrylic adhesive. They offer very high adaptability to the surfaces to be bonded. Smooth or textured surfaces can be bonded over the entire surface without tension. This makes the 3M™ 4613 ideal for many low energy surfaces, powder coated surfaces, plastics (no soft PVC) or glass.
Properties
The high dynamic load absorption of the adhesive tape reduces vibrations and shocks. In doing so, it creates a permanent seal against water and moisture. In addition, 4613 tape has excellent temperature resistance when bonding metal parts before painting.
Applications
– Bonding of stiffening elements and cladding, assembly in front of paint ovens and for decorative materials and strips
– Other areas of application: Device construction, electronics, display solutions, general industry, etc.
– Mechanical fasteners (rivets, weld seams, screws) or liquid adhesives are replaced
