Description
The 3M™ 4655 F VHB high performance tapes are double sided tapes made of closed cell acrylic adhesive. This allows them to flexibly adapt to the surface to be glued. This means that even particularly uneven substrates can be bonded over the entire surface without tension. This makes the 3M™ 4655 f ideal for many low energy surfaces, powder coated surfaces, plastics (no soft PVC) or glass.
Properties
The high dynamic load absorption of the adhesive tape reduces vibrations and shocks. In doing so, it creates a permanent seal against water and moisture. In addition, 4655 F tape has excellent temperature resistance when bonding metal parts before painting.
Applications
– Bonding of stiffening elements and cladding, assembly in front of paint ovens and for decorative materials and strips
– Other areas of application: Device construction, electronics, display solutions, general industry, etc.
– Mechanical fasteners (rivets, weld seams, screws) or liquid adhesives are replaced
