Description
The 3M™ Polyester Tape 8901 is thin and conformable. It is ideal as a masking tape in areas where high temperatures act, such as powder coating. Silicone adhesive coated tape adheres to many hard to bond surfaces. 8901 is ideal for masking applications in high temperature applications and adheres well to silicone coated surfaces.
Properties
The adhesive tape 8901 is characterized by good chemical resistance and works effectively in chemical processes and under demanding conditions, such as anodizing. The pressure-sensitive silicone adhesive performs well over a wide temperature range of 50°C to 204°C, and the translucent blue backing also resists tearing. It can also be removed cleanly and in one piece from most surfaces and prevents slipping and tearing.
