Description
The 3M™ 8422 is ideal for splicing most photographic films for processing through developer chemicals. The durable backing material of 3M™ Polyester Tape 8422 has a black opaque backing and allows splice detection with automatic sensors and devices. It also provides additional abrasion protection for the seal, edge and color coding.
Properties
The rubber-resin adhesive adheres well to a wide range of photographic films, offers excellent chemical and solvent resistance, and features high shear strength. In addition, the tape remains flexible at 50°C and is dimensionally stable up to a temperature of 150°C.
